![]() Scrivener is a luxury single source proprietary product that does nothing you can't do as easily and more safely for free. Powerpoint was bought in by MS years ago and they did little with it (same for Visio), so LibreOffice Impress is easily better. I find the graphs easier to produce in LibreOffice Calc than in Excel. Or I simply create directly from LibreOffice. On Linux I use a different program that pretends to be a printer. It allows you to gather the print output from any arbitary programs, then rearrange order and then save as a PDF file. On windows I use PDFCreator (you need to install the also free Ghostscript and Ghostview postscript systems first as PDF is based on Postscript). ![]() You can create PDFs from LibreOffice, or use a PDF virtual printer (Linux or Windows or OS X). Most of the developers of Open Office (based in turn on Star Office) work on LibreOffice.
